The Bridal Finery’s Fashion Presentations 2019

Throughout the month of June, The Bridal Finery hosted in-store Fashion Presentations. The hour-long (by appointment) presentations were held in their boutique and they showcased trending bridal fashion, beauty, decor, and floral. Guests included wedding professionals, local influencers, real brides, and bridal fashion enthusiasts.

Each week featured a different theme and different wedding vendors to highlight their specific talents. Their large fitting room was transformed each week by specific inspiration by Fashion Director of The Bridal Finery, Jamie O’Neill. The Bridal Finery is known for their intimate one-fitting room space and personalized bridal styling appointments. Because of their concept, Jamie suggested these Fashion Presentations instead of hosting a grand fashion show. These presentations are a representation of the store; intimate, by appointment, and educating. We take a look at each week of the Fashion Presentations and what inspired each week.

Bringing Living Coral to Life – Week One

In Florida, summer starts as soon as it’s 85 and sunny.  However, the first week of June is still spring. Celebrating the spring season, Jamie kicked off the fashion presentations with the Pantone 2019 color of the year, ‘Living Coral’. Jamie was inspired by spring flower shops in New York. Gather & Grace Designs and Orlando Wedding & Party Rentals brought this vision to life. Orlando Wedding and Party Rentals provided the perfect hedge wall and wooden shelved arch while G&G created varying-sized floral arrangements. Romantic, classic, and eclectic blooms of peach, coral, and white paired with glass and gold arrangements gave the store an eclectic and feminine feel.

Keeping the coral inspiration, we applied this to the beauty and bridal as well. Instead of coral, we used peach tones. Peach makeup has been trending for eyes, lips, and cheeks for about a year now. This trend is pretty for an everyday look and it’s perfect for bridal. The light tones of peach compliment so many skin tones and can be manipulated from natural to full glam.

Because of The Bridal Finery’s store concept, their inventory changes every day so they weren’t able to make styling selections until the morning of each presentation. Jamie styled the models in designers by Ines Di Santo, Monique Lhuillier, Theia, Sareh Nouri, and Marchesa. Each look was completed with accessories by Maria Elena Headpieces and trending over skirts, detachable trains, and veils.

Lavender Fields Forever – Week Two

The second week of fashion presentations began to show attendees what The Bridal Finery meant by saying each week is different. Going against the grain of clean and classic flowers, Jamie O’Neill took a messy approach with design inspiration. Inspired by the lavender fields in the South of France and crisp summer linens, this week was seen as anything but traditional for weddings. The cool tones and wild blooms made for a dreamy and whimsical feel.

Orlando Wedding Vendors, In Bloom, and Events by RW Style brought the entire vision to life with rentals and floral designs. RW provided a walnut wooden backdrop, a blue suede settee, gold bookshelves, and a white bike for a fun photo area. Once decor items were set in place, In Bloom was able to showcase their talents and start designing with blooms and dried plants. The Bridal Finery was shortly transformed from an intimate boutique in Winter Park with minimal decor to a romantic space full of blue, lavender, and cream-colored flowers and plants.

Beauty and bridal for this presentation were also inspired by romantic lavender fields. Tiffany with Michelle Rene the Studio created trending beauty looks with gold and deep plum. Jamie styled models in fitted lace gowns and paired them with lace bridal capes, textured silk organza ball gowns, clean silk crepe fabrics, and detailed veils.

A Miami Moment – Week Three

The third week of The Bridal Finery fashion presentations was inspired by a little piece of Florida, Miami. In beauty and ready-to-wear, neon colors and tropical palms are trending. Taking this approach and applying it to bridal, Jamie had a strategic plan. Tropical palms and exotic plants are not new to wedding decor, but the neon colors are. Jamie contacted the Runway Events team for decor and floral design. Runway Botanicals is known to have exotic and trending plants, so Jamie knew they were the perfect company to collaborate with.

Runway Events brought the neon tones to life through hand-painting palms blue. The blue palms gave the accent of the bright trend without it being too much.

The leading summer 2019 beauty is vibrant colored makeup. Companies like Fenty Beauty have been leading this trend through the summer with their latest collection of liquid liners and lipsticks. Applying this trend to our presentations, Bella Con Stile used emerald green and sapphire blueliner for both models. The deep jewel tones were photographed beautifully. Amanda, owner of Bella Con Stile completed the model’s looks with sleek and chic hair.

To best highlight, this inspiration clean and modern wedding gowns were used. Designers included Ines Di Santo, Monique Lhuillier, Theia, and Sarah Nouri in this presentation. These gowns are perfect for summer weddings and destination weddings. Traveling is made easier with a lightweight dress. Jamie completed the model’s looks with bridal hoops by their newest accessory designer A.B.Ellie

Mid Century Romanticism – Week Four

The Bridal Finery’s final fashion presentation was held on June 25. This presentation and design concept was not inspired by bridal at all but rather inspired by the mid-century modern trend. Jamie wanted brides and those in the industry to know that you don’t have to be inspired by weddings to use the inspiration for a wedding. Details of this trend can be seen through decor and fashion in our presentation. Jamie selected REVEL for floral & rentals for this presentation. REVEL is known for its unique and cool-girl vibe. Colors of yellow, beige, millennial pink and creams can all be found within their designs and floral. REVEL used trending dried palms and plants for a modern take on the tropical greenery.

This presentation, it was about a whole look. Hair and makeup are needed to continue the feel of the modern and trending space. The models selected for this reminded Jamie of Naomi Cambell and Gigi Hadid, so their individual beauty looks were pulled from previous Met Galas and red carpets. Brittney Boscana recreated the looks Jamie provided her. Dewy summer skin, shimmery gold and bronze eyes, and sleek hair were brought to life by Brittney Boscana. We completed these looks with accessories by AB Ellie. The bridal and styling selected for this presentation were unexpected. Jamie didn’t select traditional ‘boho’ style wedding gowns for this. She chose classic and even glam wedding gowns to juxtapose with the unique setting.
