After meeting in law school, Regan and Shaun fell in love. Shaun would later propose on the Treasure Coast, but not before asking Regan’s parent for permission to marry their daughter. They chose the gorgeous campus of Rollins College for their engagement session because they love the romantic look and feel of the area.
From the Bride, Regan: Shaun and I met in law school in the spring semester of our first year. We dated throughout and moved in together when we both became attorneys and obtained jobs on the Treasure Coast (November 2014). Shaun and I got engaged on May 16, 21015. Shaun had just started a new job doing what he had always wanted to do, being a Prosecutor. We always celebrated things by going out for a nice meal. Shaun prefaced the night he proposed by telling me we were celebrating him starting a new job. Little did I know that he had spent his first week with his brand new co-workers bonding over how he would propose.
He took me to this cute beach in Jupiter, Florida that one of his co-workers had told him about. Unfortunately for him, there was a children’s birthday party going on and the beach was covered with little kids running around. We walked down the beach towards a small dock and away from the kids. Shaun doesn’t really get nervous, so I knew it was coming because he was very nervous. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the only thing he could say. He told me later there was a speech prepared but he couldn’t get it out in that moment. We celebrated afterwards by meeting up with some friends from law school at Jetty’s, which is a cute little restaurant that overlooks the water and a lighthouse. My mother was so relieved when I told her we had gotten engaged since she had apparently known about it for over a month when Shaun had called and asked for permission.
