Captured by Elle is based in Downtown Orlando. Owner, Elle, loves getting to know her couples and their story, bringing their love to life in her images. We asked her to give us some insight on her wedding photography business.
What inspired you to get into photography?
I was inspired to get into photography in 2012 as a way to pursue something I could be passionate about while making a difference in people’s lives. I was working a corporate job at the time and despite earning a nice salary, I didn’t feel my job was fulfilling. When I was finally presented with the opportunity to quit, I had the chance to really dig deep to uncover a meaningful career that would truly make me happy. A few months after leaving my job I bought a digital camera on a whim and photographed my first wedding three months later. I loved every single minute of it and have been enjoying life as a wedding photographer/lady boss ever since!
What do you love most about working with couples?
I love getting to know each of my couples and capturing the subtle nuances in their relationship– the way they smile at each other, the way they interact and flirt… I love capturing what makes them tick. I believe in treating my clients like friends first so it’s always awesome to cultivate a friendship with my clients. I get surprisingly attached to them too and kind of bummed when the wedding is over!
What would you say your style is?
My style is crisp and vibrant with a modern feel. I strive to create beautiful and artful images that are not over-processed and feel true to life.
What types of packages do you offer?
I offer a variety of packages which include photography only and photo + video packages combined.
How far do you travel?
I like to stay local– Orlando has so much to offer there is hardly a reason to leave! Of course, I also have my passport ready for cruise weddings and destination weddings.
What wedding planning advice would you give couples?
Find vendors you can truly connect with! At the end of the day, we are all offering a similar service– what really makes the difference is someone that really gets you and the vision you have for your big day. When you really make a connection with your vendors it makes the experience that much better!
