Every year Pantone selects a “Color of the Year”. The color is selected by forecasting the color trends and designs that will be used in the upcoming year, not only in the fashion world but also in wedding color palettes. For 2018, the color that the organization has selected is Ultra Violet. This deeper shade of purple “suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now.” This year’s color is meant to push the boundaries of design.
