Mint and Coral Red Barn at Bushnell Wedding

Rustic Mint and Coral Red Barn at Bushnell Wedding – Nicole and Cody

From Casie Marie Photography: The two started planning their Red Barn at Bushnell wedding as Nicole made her way through college. Plans were made, and finally, the date was set as well. When they contacted me to be their wedding photographer I was absolutely elated to be chosen! I have known Nicole since I was in middle school, and met Cody in high school through a friend he played baseball with! I couldn’t wait for their big day.

Cody called me about 4 months before the wedding and told me that he had a surprise for Nicole. When they had initially been looking at engagement rings, Nicole had fallen in love with a specific ban with a beautiful setting. Of course, just being in high school and working on the side, Cody wasn’t able to afford the beautiful rock, but he never forgot that it was Nicole dream ring. When he contacted me he told me that he had gone to the store and purchased the band for her as a big surprise at the alter. He wanted to have it photographed with all of her details, but keep it a surprise until it was time for him to say his vows and put the ring on her finger.

Well, wedding day came and we made plans for the ring to be handed off by his mom to me for detail shots. We managed to somehow keep Nicole in the other room just feet away from me as I photographed this beautiful ring with her other details. Nicole had no idea, and there were definitely a few close calls were we all thought she was going to catch us with the ring, but somehow we all managed to keep Cody’s secret.

As Nicole walked down the aisle Cody lost it. Well, they both did. The love that these two shared was absolutely evident and was felt by each and every person in the crowd. When it was time to say their vows both Nicole and Cody teared up and cried a little as they promised their forevers together. Then, it was time for the ring exchange. Nicole went first and put the ring on Cody’s left hand. Then Cody got the wedding band from his best man, he held Nicole’s hand in his and said “No, this one just wont do.” he turned back to his best man and got the brand new engagement band to put on Nicole’s finger. Well, needless to say Nicole lost it. It was a beautiful moment shared between everyone who was in on it. Even the officiant had a tear in her eye, and so did I. I remember Nicole’s reaction and when she said “OK, this time I really am going to need a few minutes” as she tried to calm herself and wipe away those tears of joy. This particular moment is the one that Nicole still says is her fondest memory from the entire day.

The rest of the evening was shared between family and friends. The Red Barn at Bushnell was the perfect venue for these two and I am so happy to have been able to share in their big day.

How they met:

Nicole and Cody are high school sweethearts. They first met in art class at Leesburg High School and there rest was history. Cody was a baseball player for the high school, Nicole followed him to every game. Their love for each other grew and grew. The two shared many fond memories and knew that one day they would be able to share a life together. Cody popped the question while they were still in high school, he saved up for a beautiful heart shaped diamond and asked Nicole to share forever with him. The two had looked at many different rings, but this was the one that he was able to afford, just out of high school.
