With a beautiful color palette of wine, shades of pink, and emerald, this Old English style wedding at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida doesn’t disappoint. Bride, Shelby described her wedding style as “a vintage glam look where we incorporated an Old English Garden party look with some natural florals.” She wanted it to look like she just went out in a field and picked my flowers herself, but also keeping it classy. The couple’s favorite part of their day was their ceremony, as it represented their relationship perfectly. Their wedding vendor team made sure that everything went off without a hitch!
Advice from Shelby, the bride:
Is there anything that you wish you would have done for your wedding?
I wish we had more time for family photos. It rained and it threw off the photography plan. But it still turned out great.
What advice would you give other couples about the wedding planning process?
Breathe! Make sure you are organized or you will have a hard time getting anything done. If it weren’t for my mom keeping everyone on tight schedules, directing where everything needed to go, etc…. I don’t know what would’ve happened! Just take all the help you can and don’t let anyone tell you how your wedding day should go. It’s your day, not theirs!
Is there any advice that you would give engaged couples about married life?
Compromise. There are just some things you just learn to not fight over anymore. Especially us girls, some of us like our house a certain way… you gotta remember these men don’t think the way we do. They will throw their stuff everywhere, walk on the carpet with shoes, ask you to help them with everything. Just at some point, you’ll realize what’s worth the fight and what’s not. Just bend a little.
