Lakeside Navy and Gold Wedding at Mission Inn Resort

Alyse and David first meet at UCF while they were in the Marching Knights’ saxophone section. Four years after their first date in 2010, they knew they wanted to spend their lives together. Instead of David planning the engagement details and selecting a ring, they decided to go through the process as a couple. After a couple of months of designing Alyse’s engagement ring, then going on a special “engagement celebration vacation” in Portland, Oregon, Alyse and David announced their engagement.

When the wedding day came, the couple said their vows lakeside at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, under beautiful towering Cypress trees. The celebration continued lakeside in the resort’s Marina Del Rey building. The glass walls allow for guests to enjoy the beauty of the location while still having the comfort of being indoors. An elegant design was selected for the guest tables, using a natural color palette combined with metal tones of silver and gold.

What was the best part of their wedding? Well, it is hard for Alyse to choose just one, stating:

“The best parts of the wedding was being surrounded by our closest friends and family, having the ceremony we wrote for ourselves officiated by a great friend, and the incredible dance party that our DJ from Our DJ Rocks put on for us the most important part was creating a memorable experience with their family and friends.”
