Red and Gold Music Inspired Wedding at Mission Inn Resort

These two songbirds met in their high school choir class and have been making sweet music together ever since! After high school, Michelle and Anthony both received music degrees in college. When the time came to exchange vows, it was no surprise that they choose to have music as the inspiration for their special day!

The couple selected to have a color palette of deep red, black, and white for their wedding at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. They felt had sparked feelings of the famous Phantom of the Opera musical. The theme could be found in other details like their invitation suite and the groomsmen’s socks. However, the theme shined the brightest in their first dance which was actually their “first song”. The newlyweds performed Anthony’s favorite artist Billy Joel’s hit song, “Just the Way You Are”. Michelle sang while Anthony played along on the piano. To round out the performance, some of the groomsmen joined in on their instruments.

They also had a special dance for their parents to “Annie’s Song” by John Denver. The song had a special meaning because Michelle’s uncle had played it at her parent’s wedding. It was a beautiful way to honor their families for all the support they gave during their relationship and contributions on their wedding day!

The night ended with guests singing around the piano. What a perfect ending to a music-inspired wedding day!
