Creative Paper Flower Wedding at Paradise Cove

Jessica and Josh became husband and wife in the midst of Florida tropics at Paradise Cove in Orlando, Florida. Jessica wanted a boho feel to her wedding, and she had the perfect look for it! Her flowy gown from Suite Bridal had a delicate lace back, and she wore a flower crown over her loose, wavy hair.

Jessica married Josh under an archway of white paper flowers, which were handmade by her mother! Her bridesmaids carried bouquets of roses and thistles which matched their royal blue dresses nicely. One of my favorite things about Paradise Cove is that the groom can make a grand entrance to the ceremony by boat, and Josh did exactly that!

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved to a covered pavilion to celebrate under strings of twinkly lights. A pretty chalkboard sign led guests to their tables which were decorated with mossy centerpieces and more paper flowers. Jessica and Josh even included a hint of Star Wars in their wedding with Han Solo and Princess Leia champagne glasses. Read more of their love story with words from Jessica below!

From the Bride:

Inspiration:

We had a March wedding and for spring I wanted a boho feel with tons of florals, but instead of using real flowers my mother handmade hundreds of paper flowers. They covered the archway, they were the centerpieces and they covered a large hanging wall we built. I specifically wanted them all white which to me represented something pure. I wanted the focus to be on the delicacy of the flowers instead of bold colors. The Groom and wedding party wore shades of blue, while the bride choose to opt for a floral crown instead of a veil.

How did you meet?

We met as friends playing adult kickball. We truly were just friends for several years before our relationship. Josh has always been the fun guy everyone loves being around. I always thought he was a great guy but the timing was never right until it was and we have been together ever since. Josh proposed on the Orlando Eye shortly after it opened with 8 other kickball friends with us. It was a total surprise and I was so shocked that I couldn’t answer him for a solid 30 seconds.
