Best of 2018: Orlando Wedding Vendors

Every year we celebrate the “best of” for the year. In years past we have done a vote to get this list. However, this year we are doing it a little differently. For the whole month of December, we are sharing our Orange Blossom Bride wedding vendors’  “Best of 2018” and why it made the top of their list.

Ashley Jane Photography

“This was actually our first wedding of 2018 and it was so cold. The poor bride we just shivering up there on the altar.  As soon as I saw the ceremony space though I knew it was going to be so pretty.  The sun was setting just perfectly behind them with the light leaking through the branches of the trees. It made a magical background for them to say their vows.  Even though Amber was freezing she had these few moments of calm and I feel like this image really embodies that calmness.  It’s one of those images that I always go back to!”

Up the Creek Farms

“Why is this the best photo of 2018? Well, this is us (minus Tim – co-owner and the dogs!)! We are all connected to this venue through our different roles and to all of our couples. Each day we are humbled and honored to be the backdrop for the moments that will be forever ingrained in our couple’s memories. The love we have for being a part of those moments in time is what inspires us all.”

Everything Cake

“I love this photoshoot because it was a time that I could be completely free and creative as I wanted. I love to challenge myself with new ideas and be inspired by all the elements that came into play for the shoot. This was my first time at this beautiful Howey Mansion as well and it was just incredible!”

“I love this image because I was absolutely free to design something out of the box. It shows personality and elegance. I love inspiring brides and others to be true to themselves.”

The Capen House

“Grace & Bryan’s wedding in February 2018 really showcased all that the historic Capen House has to offer. Their reception was held on the lakefront patio, with stunning views of Lake Osceola. During cocktail hour, guests mingled in the gardens and on the private boat dock.”

“My best of picture comes from my first wedding of 2018. In this instance, the best of picture is more about the couple than the picture. Elba and David booked me about 18 months prior to their wedding. Over the next year and a half, the bride kept me in the loop throughout the entire planning process from pictures of her dress to late night texts about her adventures in wedding crafting! By the time the wedding rolled around, I felt so connected to the couple and their wedding details that it was an extra special event to photograph!”

Pearl White Events

“The reason why this is our favorite photo of 2018 is because our bride, Katie, is beyond talented. Her wedding dress and all of her bridesmaids dresses you see were handmade entirely by the bride herself. We call this photo “Katie and her Angels” because they all look so angelic siting on a custom floral swing bench designed by the bride and the florist.”

Bake a Wish

“So here is my best of 2018 photo. It’s hard to pick one because I really loved everything that I did this year, but I guess this is the tallest cake I’ve ever made! It was over 4 feet tall!”

– Saloni Kaul of Bake a Wish

And a side note: Saloni, owner of Bake a Wish, is only 5 foot 2 so this cake was almost as tall as her!

A Chair Affair

“The look of love against the Florida sun. Arundel Estate provides the perfect background for any bride or groom along with exquisite vintage furniture rentals can create an unforgettable scene for a couple’s dream wedding. Captured memories by Bumby Photography will last a lifetime. . This is our favorite “best shot” of 2018 as this year A Chair Affair focused on the release and debut of our vintage furniture collections. The Alice sofa, the Alice chair, the Hex table and the Miguel coffee table set the scene and really made this picture come to life poolside against the glistening shine of the water.”

“This image represents my brand, my style, and my life! As a photographer, you dream of images that give you feeling, and this image is that for me. I always want my images to have motion, to show the true story behind what has been captured.  This was also the culmination of so much planning, blood, sweat, and tears, and for me to finally reach my goal of being published in a national publication this coming year! I cannot wait to share the rest of this gallery! This is my best of 2018.”

Cake and Bake, LLC

“We chose this as our Best of 2018 because of the skills needed to design the cake and the size structure. The elegant designs on the cake are hand-painted. Designed with the theme and colors of a wedding, large cakes are on their way back in style. Not many cakes are elevated off the ground! We feel this photo gives couples a firsthand look at what type of designs you can add around the cake to make things even more beautiful!”

Rudy and Marta Photography

“This image is one of our bests because it shows the delicate nature of our couples.  An intimacy that can only be captured with a specific level of comfort on a wedding day.  It’s subtle and sincere.  It’s quite hard to put into words, but it’s there.  And we’re always looking for it. That is our photography.”

Bluegrass Chic

“I love when a bride is true to her style, when she steps outside the comfort of the pretty in pink Pinterest perfect weddings, and creates her own perfection.  Jacqueline walked into our consultation thinking she wanted the blush and cream look, but not 100% on it.  As we talked through her consultation I realized her style wasn’t matching what she was showing me.  After listening to her throughout our consultation, I decided to show her a few inspiration photos using earth tones, and a bohemian chic design style. Jacqueline was thrilled with the suggestions and trusted me to create her perfect bridal bouquet and wedding floral design and style. The joy in her face when she saw her bridal bouquet let me know how much she loved it, and this creation happens to be one of my all time favorites.  It combines beautiful earth tones, gorgeous garden floral, cascading greenery, and a soft feminine look.  Best of all it was true to the brides style!”

“When thinking about my “Best of 2018″, I started to think what has made 2018 so special for me. I looked at IG and FB for the bridal bouquet picture that was the most popular; I searched the blog posts about styled shoots and collaborations to see THE ONE that was the best, under my eyes. As always, before making a big decision – I slept on it and the next morning I started thinking of one real moment. Of course! How could I forget the most important day on my educational life? Being a florist since I was 18, and not having access to any kind of formal education within my field until 2012, becoming an Accredited Member of AIFD ( American Institute of Floral Designer ) is my best of 2018. As a Brazilian immigrant, I am very proud of my accomplishments. Here I was, induction night, in Washington DC, July of 2018, with Mrs Kimberly Oldis, President of AIFD. The best of 2018. ”

FairyTail Pet Care

“This photo is from one of our favorite weddings this year. Hailey & Haru were the SWEETEST pups. Their parents love them so much & you can just feel it beaming from this photo! The entire day was absolutely beautiful & we loved exploring the gorgeous grounds of Casa Feliz with them. The dogs took GoPro video of the entire day from their perspective & it turned out adorable. It was certainly a wedding we won’t forget!”

“My favorite photo of 2018 is from the wedding of Christine and John in Mount Dora.  This is one of my favorite images because Christine is one of my high school best friends, we reunited a year ago when she moved back to Florida and have grown so close since.  I was honored to capture her wedding and the moment of happiness as her dad walked her down the aisle was especially meaningful to me as I grew up with her and the family. Her dad was the one who tried to help us find each other again when she moved back to town.”

“My clients shared their concern about the weather forecast five days before their wedding.  I actually got them excited to attempt some creative images to the point that they were hoping for rain. The weather might be out of our control, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have amazing images!”

Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall

“We hosted the tastefully glamorous wedding of Eric and Taylor Mutz on April 17, 2018. The tree-lined streets served as the perfect backdrop to the bride’s lace gown and the groom’s classic navy suit. The 16-person wedding party wore blush rose and muted pink tones, certainly the color scheme of 2018. The vintage-inspired florals, provided by Colonial Florist, included lush greenery and pops of luxe roses. Guests were treated to a 4Rivers Smokehouse dinner, and DJ Gary White kept the party going all night long. 28 North Photography captured this picture-perfect wedding.”
