Orange Blossom Bride’s First Birthday Party Design Challenge
Last month, we had our first birthday party in which we celebrated all the amazing vendors that have made the blog such a success. During the event, we had a design challenge with four teams of the some of areas best wedding pros. Teams were given the Pantone Spring Colors for 2017 as their color palette and creative freedom for their design. Our guests for the evening were able to vote for their favorite design and the winner was the Pavone Events. Their design incorporated vibrant colors and incredible details that wowed our guests. From the white farm table and french country chairs by A Chair Affair to the stationary from Paper Goat Post and Flax and Wool Designs to the stunning cake by Couture Cakes by Lia that took over 60 hours to complete, each detail was perfectly executed. The incredible table top display by Raining Roses left our guests speechless.
From the Pavone Events Team: It is not always easy to step out of your comfort zone; everyone likes to play it safe. But, sometimes you are given the chance to try something new. For the Orange Blossom Bride design contest, our team was given that chance. Our style usually consists of neutral colors, but this wasn’t your typical table design. This was for Orange Blossom Bride and it only seemed fitting to use bright colors. Our inspiration board was overflowing with ideas. We knew that we wanted to incorporate citrus and all the bright colors of spring. Inspiration was drawn from Lily Pulitzer patterns.
During the design phase, we tried to think of something to give the table that “wow” factor. Our goal was to bring the beauty of nature into the table design. Initially, the idea was to suspend something from the ceiling, but as that was not an option, plan B had to be formulated. Our florists at Raining Roses simply out did themselves; they were able to make it appear as though a vine was coming from the table itself; bursting with oranges and brightly colored roses. We could not have been happier with the results. At the end of the evening, we even took some of the roses with us to brighten our own homes.
