Wedding inspiration can be found anywhere, especially from the great artists of the past. This is exactly what this vendor team did in this wedding inspiration shoot inspired by American artist, Georgia O’Keeffe at Haus 820 in Lakeland.
Much of O’Keeffe’s work was inspired by the New Mexico desert. The team used earth tones to reflect this along with a custom painted ceremony backdrop to reflect the artist’s style. Scroll through to see this beautiful shoot along with the full inspiration for it by photographer, Brianna Kim Photography.
From Photographer, Brianna Kim Photography:
This shoot was inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s life work. Towards Georgia’s later years, she studied residency in New Mexico which quickly became the inspiration for most of her art. With creamy tones of clay and sand, we brought the landscape of New Mexico alive. The backdrop was hand-painted to resemble O’Keeffe’s work. For florals, we went for a delicate, dreamy look while staying within that light and creamy palette.
The eclectic lounge area consisted of a beautiful settee, trunk, modern rug, and upholstered chair which paired perfectly with the white brick walls. The venue has a stunning industrial vibe on the inside and on the outside, a color wall that is so pleasant! As an added bonus, we included a mobile bar and adorable little pups. We think O’Keeffe would love our shoot and that it was inspired by her.
