Retro Downtown Tampa Engagement Session

For Kaitlyn and Parker, their home is a place of creativity. Parker loves to play guitar and build acoustics as a hobby. While Kaitlyn loves to cook and has a popular TikTok page for fun called Fill Your Table. So it seemed natural for this laid-back couple to have part of their engagement session at home, especially with their pups and in the music nook where Parker proposed.

For the second part of their session, they headed to Downtown Tampa. And can we say, it’s a vibe! This gave the couple a chance to dress up and show off their fun sides. We absolutely love the retro style. From the attire to the vintage convertible, it’s all perfection and captured beautifully by Josie of Josie Brooks Photography!

What is your proposal story?

“Parker and I had been dating and living together and finally decided to purchase a home together in Tampa. On the day of our closing, we (of course) went to our house after signing the papers just to soak it all in. When we got there and I opened the door, there were rose petals, candles, and a bottle of champagne waiting inside by our fireplace and in this little library nook. Parker proposed there in that nook. So it was important that one of our engagement session locations was at home, being sure to take some pictures in the nook.”

What has been the most challenging part of planning your wedding?

“The most challenging part of planning our wedding has been narrowing down our choices and figuring out our “must-haves” versus our “nice-to-haves”. On top of it, it’s hard to make choices when you have no idea how much things will cost!”
