Sunset Beach Engagement Session at Ponce Inlet

This native Central Florida couple loves enjoying all that the area has to offer. Dean is an avid skydiver and Savannah describes herself as a “straight-up Disney Adult”. When it came to selecting their engagement session location, the couple decided on Ponce Inlet which was suggested to them by their amazing wedding photographer Nicole of Dreamscape Photography. From the lighthouse to the dunes to the jetty, Ponce Inlet Park has so many great backdrops for photos.

Savannah and Dean will be tying the knot at Sugar Mill Country Club in New Smyrna Beach, FL with an “Under the Tuscan Sun” vibe. Family is so important to them. Their goal has been to make sure they have their entire family involved.

From Bride, Savannah:

How did you meet?

“We met like most other modern couples do, online! He went to school in my hometown and I went to school in his. So we met up at his local Starbucks, and the rest is history!”

What is your proposal story?

“We dated for three years before he proposed. He proposed on Christmas of 2021, at my mom’s house in front of my entire family. He waited until everyone else opened up their presents, and there were no more presents underneath the tree and said he hid my present in the tree. While I’m looking through the tree, looking for my present, he tapped me on the shoulder, and I turned around, and there was my ring!”

Tell us about you as a couple.

“We’re from the Central FL area. My fiancé is a skydiver so he likes to spend his time at local drop zones such as Skydive DeLand and Skydive Sebastian. I’m a straight-up Disney Adult and like to spend my time at the parks any chance I can get. My fiancé and I go to our favorite Mexican restaurant Los Dos Compadres every Tuesday for Taco Tuesday. That for the most part serves as our weekly date night.”

What has been the most challenging part of planning your wedding?

“The most challenging part of planning our wedding has been finding vendors we trust. A huge shout out to I Said Yes! Wedding Expo for helping us find a good chunk of our vendors including our venue/cater, wedding planner/florist, our wonderful photographers Dreamscape Photography, and the travel agency for our honeymoon. I think the most surprising part of wedding planning has been how everything is so reliant on current political/social events. (Such as COVID)”

From Bride, Savannah:

What are you most looking forward to for your wedding?

“My fiancé said to spend the rest of our lives together… I said the cake. (Just kidding)”
