During the beginning of their relationship, Daniel and Tony discovered that they both had a love for all things Disney. As time passed, visiting Walt Disney World has become one of their favorite date spots. When it came to planning their wedding it was a no-brainer to have Disney as the inspiration for their wedding theme. Since Beauty and the Beast played a big part in their love story, they opted to go that route and it was perfection!
Daniel and Tony went with classic Beauty and Beast color palette of royal blue, golden yellow, and red, then brought in all the details. From custom cuff links and tie clips to their table numbers, their theme flowed seamlessly throughout their wedding celebration.
Along with their wedding theme, it was important for the couple to include their family in their wedding celebration. They had a memorial table with pictures of Daniel’s dad and Tony’s grandfather and grandmothers on it. It meant a lot to them to have their loved ones’ spirits with them on their wedding day. Another special moment of the day was each having their mother/son dance with their proud mamas.
For Daniel and Tony, it was also important to “acknowledge the sacrifice of those before them who couldn’t legally get married.” Due to this, they took a moment during their wedding ceremony to do so.
However, of all the magical details found throughout their wedding day, the couple said their final slow dance to Fire on Fire by Sam Smith was the best part of their wedding day. Daniel states, “The fact that we chose our final slow dance as a song that meant A LOT to both of us, and that moment will forever live in our heads and hearts because it was precious. I’m getting emotional right now just thinking about it.”

From Groom, Daniel:
How did you meet?
“We met online and started dating on October 2nd, 2018. Our first non-planned date was in Tony’s car, eating Taco Bell and talking about each other. After that, we kept seeing each other more often and discovered that we share the same love for Disney and theme parks so that was one of our go-to dates, also going to the movies and watching some tv shows are one of our big things to do. Time passed and we fell in love.”

From Groom, Daniel:
What is your proposal story?
“It was December 2020 and I was expecting that proposal on Christmas Day because we’ve talked and joked about it but it didn’t happen. Then, on December 28th, 2020 we had plans to go to Tony’s best friend’s apartment to watch movies and have a relaxing night with her, or that’s what I thought. That day Tony told me that he had to work late so we would have to drive separate cars, which I thought was fine. The night came, Tony texted me to let me know he was on his way to our friend Katelyn’s place and I was getting ready to head out as well. When I get to her apartment, Katelyn was waiting outside her door with her hands in the back, which I thought was weird, then she reveals her hands to give me a single yellow rose and open the door for me. Her whole apartment was covered in rose petals, framed pictures of us from all the adventures and moments we’ve spent together. Oh, and candles, 100 to be specific. Taylor Swift’s Lover was playing in the background and there was Tony, standing all handsome waiting for me to enter the apartment. I couldn’t believe what was going on, I was so happy and surprised at the same time because this was a dream come true to me, but it all made sense because we fell in love in this apartment, this is where we spent most nights watching movies or playing board games or just being here. So I walked to where Tony was, he read some beautiful words that he wrote for me and then he got on his knees and proposed to me. And of course, said “YES!” while crying. It was BEAUTIFUL, I wouldn’t change it for anything because it was PERFECT!”

What advice would you give other couples about the wedding planning process?
“The best advice we can give is: Don’t rush your decisions. Everything tends to fall into place when it needs to.”
Is there any advice that you would give engaged couples about married life?
“Make sure to continue to have date nights, and keep that love alive just like in the beginning. Also, communication is key!”
