As lovers of all things fantasy, Amanda and Kris’ winter wedding was inspired by the enchanting worlds of Lord of the Rings, Games of Thrones, and Harry Potter to name a few. The unique atmosphere of the Orlando Science Center in Orlando, Florida created the perfect whimsical backdrop for the couple’s wedding vision to come to life.
The favorite part of their wedding was the room reveal prior to their reception starting. Bride, Amanda explains, “Our amazing vendor team put together a magical moment for the two of us to explore the setup. Seeing all of the planning and our imagination come to life was so satisfying. From the carefully selected designer furniture illuminated by soft glowing lights to the ethereal dessert table covered in lush florals, it was a whimsical world of our own to discover and perfectly set to Harry Potter theme music.” When it comes to advice Amanda would give other couples planning their wedding, she says, “Don’t stress about things outside of your control, take the time to have fun, and be flexible.” We couldn’t agree more!
From Bride, Amanda:
How did you meet?
“We met while Kris was working as a specialist in a custom computer build shop. I walked in with a suitcase full of computer parts and a deadline, my computer needed to be constructed by the release date of the new Mass Effect videogame. Kris and his team took months to build my computer and I would stop by his shop to drop off additional parts and discuss the architecture of the unit. With each meeting, we got to know each other and we fell in love. When the computer build was completed, Kris asked me out on a date and ever since then, we’ve become best friends, sharing in our love for all things in the realm of science, technology, and nature.”

Is there any advice that you would give engaged couples about married life?
“Be understanding and always consider your partner’s perspective, communication is vital. We’ve also found that the old sayings hold true, “Happy wife, happy life.” and “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
