Elegant Blush and White Wedding at Lake Mary Event Center

With a lifelong vision of a spring wedding, this couple combined delicate blush with white and gold to give a light and classic feel to their April wedding celebration. Bride, Erika started her day with her lovely ladies as they got their hair and makeup done. Her sleek updo paired perfectly with her long-sleeved wedding gown and custom-made cathedral veil, giving a timeless bridal look.

After a little bit of fun getting ready, Erika and her bridesmaid headed to Lake Mary Event Center in Lake Mary, Florida where she had a sweet first look with her groom, Michael. The couple shared their wedding vows in front of their closest family and friends with the beautiful Crystal Lake as their backdrop.

When it came to their wedding, one of the most important things for Erika and Michael was their decor. Erika explained, “We really had a vision of what we wanted on our look, from the flower arrangements, the table set up, to the linens.” She also stated that having a great photographer to capture their day, including all the stunning decor, was another very important part for them.

From Bride, Erika:
How did you meet?

“Michael and I met in 2013 when we were first started our new job at a customer service position for Intuit QuickBooks payments. We were just co-workers for a couple of years then we both got promoted to a smaller team and that’s when we got to know each other better as friends, fast forward to 4 years later (2017) he slid into my DM through Facebook and wanted to get know me better and asked me if I wanted to go on a date. The rest is history!”

From Bride, Erika:
How did he propose?

“Michael proposed in the cutest but simplest way (he is very shy). It was beautiful day November 18th, 2018 when we were walking by the Sanford pier by the water, I was just looking out at the water and as I turn around I see him on his knees asking me to marry him. It was so sweet. Literally best day of my life.”

From Bride, Erika:
What was the most important for the two of you while planning?

“The most important thing for us planning was the décor. We really had a vision of what we wanted on our look from the flower arrangements, the table set up, to the linens. I also think the second thing that is very important while planning is to invest in a good photographer. The photographer is going to capture the best day of your life and pictures are the closest thing you have to look back on your special day. So I have to say décor and photographer are the main two that were important to us.”

From Bride, Erika:
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?

“My favorite part of the day was getting to dance with my husband for the first time, I feel like planning a wedding can be stressful so waiting to be introduced to everyone as New Mr. & Mrs. was very exciting and having the special moment dancing & smiling at each other was just really special. It was so joyful. It literally felt like the best moment.”

From Bride, Erika:
What advice would you give couples planning their wedding?

“I suggest every couple to have a day coordinator. It not only helped myself but my bridesmaids and especially my mom from having to take time from talking with vendors for that day. It will take a lot of stress during the day as they are experts and it entails so much time management that you would just want to enjoy your day!”
